“Treason! Treason!”

“And in the seventh year Jehoiada strengthened himself, and took the captains of hundreds, Azariah the son of Jeroham, and Ishmael the son of Jehohanan, and Azariah the son of Obed, and Maaseiah the son of Adaiah, and Elishaphat the son of Zichri, into covenant with him. And they went about in Judah, and gathered the Levites out of all the cities of Judah, and the chief of the fathers of Israel, and they came to Jerusalem. And all the congregation made a covenant with the king in the house of God. And he said unto them, Behold, the king's son shall reign, as the LORD hath said of the sons of David. This is the thing that ye shall do; a third part of you entering on the sabbath, of the priests and of the Levites, shall be porters of the doors; and a third part shall be at the king's house; and a third part at the gate of the foundation: and all the people shall be in the courts of the house of the LORD. But let none come into the house of the LORD, save the priests, and they that minister of the Levites; they shall go in, for they are holy: but all the people shall keep the watch of the LORD. And the Levites shall compass the king round about, every man with his weapons in his hand; and whosoever else cometh into the house, he shall be put to death: but be ye with the king when he cometh in, and when he goeth out.

     So the Levites and all Judah did according to all things that Jehoiada the priest had commanded, and took every man his men that were to come in on the sabbath, with them that were to go out on the sabbath: for Jehoiada the priest dismissed not the courses. Moreover Jehoiada the priest delivered to the captains of hundreds spears, and bucklers, and shields, that had been king David's, which were in the house of God. And he set all the people, every man having his weapon in his hand, from the right side of the temple to the left side of the temple, along by the altar and the temple, by the king round about. Then they brought out the king's son, and put upon him the crown, and gave him the testimony, and made him king. And Jehoiada and his sons anointed him, and said, God save the king. Now when Athaliah heard the noise of the people running and praising the king, she came to the people into the house of the LORD: And she looked, and, behold, the king stood at his pillar at the entering in, and the princes and the trumpets by the king: and all the people of the land rejoiced, and sounded with trumpets, also the singers with instruments of musick, and such as taught to sing praise. Then Athaliah rent her clothes, and said, Treason! Treason! Then Jehoiada the priest brought out the captains of hundreds that were set over the host, and said unto them, Have her forth of the ranges: and whoso followeth her, let him be slain with the sword. For the priest said, Slay her not in the house of the LORD. So they laid hands on her; and when she was come to the entering of the horse gate by the king's house, they slew her there” (2 Chron. 23:1-15, KJV).

     My main text is found in verse 13 where “Athaliah rent her clothes, and said, Treason! Treason!” Here we have a wicked mother, Athaliah, of Ahaziah, the son of Jehoram king of Judah (22:1). Ahaziah reigns wickedly under the counsels of his wicked mother (22:1-4). He is slain by Jehu, who destroys all the house of Ahab, (22:5-9). Athaliah in turn destroys all the seed royal of Judah, except Joash, who is hidden by his nurse in the temple six years (22:10-12). (See 2 Kgs. 8 also.)

     This takes us into chapter 23 where Jehoiada the priest, after having taken counsel with the captains and Levites proclaims Joash, and anoints him king. (v. 11). Athaliah, endeavoring to prevent it, is slain, (12-15).

     Jehoiada makes the people enter into a covenant, that they would serve the LORD, (v. 16). The people break from the temple of Baal, and slay Mattan his priest, (v. 17). Jehoiada makes several alterations, and remodels the kingdom, (vv. 18-21).

     What we see with this true story is that when Judah was ruled by a wicked king / mother, things were not right with God; the covenant had been broken by SIN!! Ahaziah the king was instructed by his wicked mother, who herself was a daughter of a wicked parent, and the wicked spouse of an unprincipled king.

     Our story also tells us that when the wicked is in power, they will try to kill all the royal seed—but God saved one seed who was later to make a covenant with God, and the kingdom prospered.

What I See

THE RISING OF WICKEDNESS within the Church (as like unto the rising of wickedness within Judah) has brought forth, in this hour and in this generation, Ahaziahs and Athaliahs, who conspire to kill the royal seed of Christ.

     These Ahaziahs and Athaliahs have been hatched from “demon seed”…from twisted and toxic teachings of Emergent Church leaders, (see our booklet Recreant Philosophers for background info). These recreant / backslidden / apostate kings and queens have not only done wickedly, but they teach others to do wickedly.

     From within and out of this cesspool of wickedness, which denies most cardinal Bible doctrines, proceeds the deadly Methodology of redefining God's Word and re-imaging God—Jesus—Holy Spirit—Church.

Spirit of Jehoram

JEHORAM WAS KING OF JUDAH (before his son reigned in his stead) who “walked in the way of the kings of Israel, like as did the house of Ahab: for he had the daughter of Ahab to wife: and he wrought that which was evil in the eyes of the LORD” (2 Chron. 21:6).

     It was Ahab and his wife Jezebel who were enemies of God and God's prophets. Athaliah was wife of Jehoram. Wicked Jehoram was smitten by God in his bowels in which they fell out (vv. 18, 19). This left Athaliah without a husband.

Why Can’t They Get It?

WHY CAN’T ALL THESE WICKED CHURCH LEADERS GET IT? Why can’t they see what happens to those who rebel against God and His Word, His Way?

     The fact that the Word of God can no longer function as an arbiter of Truth is becoming more and more a reality within the contemporary Church. Since “truth” can’t be believed or trusted (by the Emergent fools), concessions have left the Church in a state of crisis and confusion. Seminal seeds of ideophrenia (madness characterized by disordered ideas) have given birth to a whole new generation of spiritual bastards. Hence, the rise and development of the Emergent Church Movement (ECM) has become as one pastor bemoans, “both a significant call-aborator and delivery system for the major paradigm shift that has affected and infiltrated the mindset of many evangelical pastors.” I think the word “infected” would be a better word.

Postmodern

SINCE GOD'S WORD IS “ETERNAL”, fitting for every generation, how can we begin to believe that it has become outdated? This new evangelical notion that the Church MUST become postmodern in order to reach the world is ridiculous. Abdicating is absurd.

     These new Emergents want to MURDER God's true people, just as Athaliah went about to murder the royal seed (that was to bring forth Jesus the Christ), placing her wicked son, who walked in the ways of wicked Ahab. But when Joash, of the royal seed line, was made king by the righteous of Jerusalem, Athaliah the wicked witch (like the Emergent Church) cried, “TREASON! TREASON!”

     Don’t we see the hatred for God's true ones among the Emergent Church folks? We do! Queen Athaliah is enraged at the thought of another king (ruler) replacing her beloved son. The Emergent Church Movement has gained power and prestige over the last 40 years, doing wickedly. She (the Emergent Church) cries “Treason! Treason!” whenever the righteous exert their God-given authority; her deceiving and merciless personality is all too evident today—“DEATH to the royal seed of Christ!!”

     Ahaziah, Athaliah’s son, reigned only one year as king; upon his death, Athaliah seized the throne. This wicked witch was not about to share her throne with Joash, the king whom God chose for rulership.

     She (Athaliah) had her imperious mother, Queen Jezebel. Jezebel was venomously evil. The poison of Jezebel’s fanatical zeal for her Phoenician god became venomously active in Jerusalem. It is easy to understand why the Emergent Church hates the God of the Bible, His Word, His servants. Although the Emergent Church claims to be “Christian,” she is a “bastard” through and through. Read the Emergent Church leaders’ writings; see if they are not “treasonous”. The Emergent Church Movement has many gods, moving further away from the fundamental truths of God's Word…appeasement has opened the door to the “wonders” of the world. Their repudiation of grace, faith, and Christ only fits hand-in-glove with the world—non-judgmental, tolerant of all religions and GLBTQ folks—open-minded.

We’re Not There Yet!

UNLESS THE TRUE CHURCH, the remnant, rises up in love for God, strengthens themselves as did Jehoiada and company, strengthens themselves in their covenant with God afresh, I’m afraid we’re going to see Queen Athaliah reign.

     One critic observes: “However, you need to know that such as these are neo-Gnostic fools who, through their practice of existential corrupt Contemplative Spirituality / Mysticism (CSM), have now convinced themselves that they are the truly enlightened ones who are receiving special revelation from God as they use a form of meditation in an altered state of consciousness commonly known as Contemplative / Centering Prayer (CCP). It truly is transcendental meditation-lite sprayed with Christian terminology; and it definitely opens the door for deception.”

     In reality, what these religious perverts are up to is fashioning God into the marred image of man. These “build-a-God Show” weirdos not only remake God / Jesus / Christianity, they also fashion other gods with characteristics of the god / goddess of your choosing.

     Emergent Church guru Brian McLaren writes in his very ridiculous and derisive book A Generous Orthodoxy: “Why I am a Missional—Evangelical-Post-Protestant—Liberal / Conservative—Mystical / Poetic-Biblical-Charismatic / Contemplative—Fundamental / Calvinist-Anabaptist / Anglican-Methodist-Catholic-Green-Incarna-tional-Depressed-yet-Hopeful-Emergent-Unfinished Christian.”

     McLaren may think that he is cute, but he is really pitiful!! This recreant guru of the “New Reformation” has fashioned himself into a strange / queer god / goddess!

Trust Me

IF YOU THINK I’m making all this up about the ECM, a good book to read is An Emergent Manifesto of Hope (2007), written by 26 other recreants who delight in tearing down God's Word / authority to replace it with their very own.

     Feelings and experience preclude the acceptable of propositional Truth. The Emergent Church’s “truth” comes from demons! Truth itself, according to them, is “emergent”. Emergent “truth” is a mixture of Christianity, New Age bull, worldly philosophies and other religions…with experiences and all.

     The “Christianity” they believe in is the “I accept anything and everything” Jesus. Deep within the Emergent Church’s bowels there are those who, like Athaliah and Jezebel, are satanically constructing a greater version of the mush god of mysticism, ecumenical, progressive “Christianity,” liberalism etc. This love-affair with the above is coming.

No Umpire Needed?

WELL, THE EMERGENT CHURCHITES THINK SO. Since no umpire is acknowledged who could arbitrate between the various religious / secular games being played, who calls “foul”? Who calls “strike out”?

     Years ago, when the serious backsliding got underway, the first step was to eliminate the primal significance of the Word for faith by declaring that it is no longer acknowledged as present.

     Who decides when God's presence is present?...when His Word is no longer needed? And who and what has replaced God's authority?

     Since the modern / liberal Church is permeated by the world’s spirit, thus there is no useful distinction for the purposes of God. Because the modern / liberal Church is permeated by and with the world’s spirit there is no reason to believe that she has any real authority AT ALL.

     The Emergent Church is one of doubt and secularism as well as of faithless faith.

Heresy

HERESY IS SO COMMON these days, Biblical Truth struggles. If we abandon God's Word / authority, heresy will flourish. If the Church is to ever recover from this “demon”, she must demythologize herself from rebellious thinking / deeds instead of nourishing the same—thinking they are special revelations to believe in and act upon.

     Ideologies that are anti-Christ / anti-Christian / un-Biblical are real villains that must be banished if Christianity is to prevail as a whole.

     Today, the pursuit of being accepted by the world is literally killing the Church.

“Jesus” Must Be Avoided

THE USE OF THE NAME “JESUS” must be avoided declares the Emergent Churchites,. Jesus’ name equivocates and misleads they declare.

     The Emergent Church radically demands the discarding of some of the traditional language of Christianity; they may “offend” the non-Christians. Well, to HELL with this stuff. We can’t use the name Jesus and other Biblical words enough!!!

     Since the Emergent Church has discarded (or changed the meanings) of Biblical names / terms has now become Cherished Traditions. Biblical faith, talk has been discarded, thrown into the fundamentalist trash heap.

     This “trashing” of words is not new. Take astrology for example, it has been “reduced” to astronomy. Alchemy has been reduced to Chemistry by the rigorous application of an empirical method. In almost every field of human learning, the metaphysical and cosmological aspect has disappeared and the subject matter has been redefined / limited to the human, the historical, the empirical. Take the homosexual movement (HM) for example; gay has been redefined. Partner, marriage, diversity, unity, tolerance, creation etc. have all different meanings today. “Dignity,” for example, used to mean: “quality or state of being worthy or honored; formal reserve (as of manner).” Today within the gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and queer camp it means “PERVERTED SEX”!!

     Since when did “dignity” mean to stick a penis into another man’s / boy’s butt, their anus, the place for waste elimination, then sticking the same into their “partner’s” mouth—um, good! Since when did eating feces and semen mean “dignity”? And what are we to make of the word “equality”? Putting vile abominations on the same (or higher) level as heterosexuality? And what of the word “celebration”? Are we to celebrate what God's Word calls SIN and ABOMINATION? Is it any wonder that this same vile / evil / wickedness has now taken root within the Church—seeing that many in the Emergent Church are of the GLBTQ camp?

     Just as sex diseases are spread in and through the GLBTQ camp (and, sadly in the heterosexual camp), this rebellion against God / His Word / His Way / His Will is contagious.

     Isn’t it strange (queer!) that the Emergent Church portrays Jesus as a sex pervert / adulterer / a drunk, yet the Word tells us “For He hath made Him to be sin for us, who knew no sin...” (2 Cor. 5:21)? This same Jesus GAVE His life for sinners like us—so we could be free of SIN. So, who forgives SIN if not God? When anyone denies this they are a jackass rebel!

     God's Word IS NOT ambiguous and misleading. God's Word is de facto—“I AM the LORD your God; you shall have NO OTHER gods before Me.” This is the first Commandment with AXIOMATIC force. Can one speak of God / Jesus Christ without at the same time involving the relevance of the distinction between God and idols?

     Who would God / Jesus be that we should be allowed to be silent about them? It is TREASON not to stand up for God and His sinless Son.

Devastating Delusions

THE EMERGENT CHURCH’S BIZARRE IDEOPHRENIAS remind us of what one anti-Emergent Church pastor said: “Cue the 90’s song ‘What If God Was One of Us?’”—but He isn’t one of us! The Bible tells us: “God has made Him both Lord and Christ, this Jesus whom you crucified” (Acts 2:36). “Therefore God has highly exalted Him and bestowed on Him the Name which is above every name” (Phil. 2:9).

     I suppose McLaren and Tickle and other reprobates see themselves in those verses. NO matter how idealistically fashioned, Jesus is higher in all respects to mere human beings. Just because these rebels play God / Christ, their thoughts about divinity will never submit to humanistic empirical verification.

Where Is God?

GOOD QUESTION. One place He is not is within the Emergent Church Movement—He remains fundamentally OUTSIDE the limits of their prideful world, although He can be discernible within the scant limits of language. In other words, He is in their language but out of their hearts. Even demons know of Jesus/God by language, but I assure you, they do not have Jesus or God, or the Holy Spirit.

     If one reads the Emergent Church’s definition of grace-faith-Christ-reconciliation-evil-repent-forgiveness-salvation-etc.-etc., one will quickly see that these Bible names / terms have very little in common with genuine Bible names / terms.

     McLaren’s sick definition of “repent” means “making society and the physical world a better place”—NOT turning from sin to faith in Christ alone (not works), or ongoing repentance thru the operation of the Holy Spirit.

     Words like save-salvation-Savior are a mockery. And HELL has been extinguished forever. In the Emergent Church mind, Jesus the Christ is emphatically NOT the only Savior from sin and Hell. Oh, no!, there are many more saviors and many other paths to Heaven. Really?

Jesus and God

JESUS the Son of God IS!! Paul, referring to a psalm, “I believed, and so I spoke” (Ps. 116:10), the apostle continues the interpretation of his apostolic existence: “we too believe, and so we speak, knowing that He who raised the Lord Jesus will raise up also with Jesus and bring us with you into His presence. For it is all for your sake, so that as grace extends to more and more people [i.e., the believing, who must speak] it may increase thanksgiving, to the glory of God” (2 Cor. 4:13-15).

     “Apostolic existence causes, as it were, the word ‘God’ to burst out, but the necessity to speak of God is not all limited to the apostle. Just as it is God who made Jesus who He is, so it is God again who makes us what we will be and now already are, namely, those who live in the face of death with Jesus Christ. In view of the passing of his life’s time the believer experiences an eternal time gain. This news must be spread among the people so that more and more might come to faith.”

Living God vs. Dead God

IF A BIBLE SCHOLAR / THEOLOGIAN INTENDS to find a theologoumenon of the strongest assertive power to distinguish between the Biblical God and the god of philosophers, it is best that he employs the Biblical designation “Living God”—the only “True” and “Living” God Who reveals Himself and acts in history. Name me one god of the pagan world that has done and is doing this! We Christians laugh at those fools who claim “God is dead!” We also laugh at those Emergent Church buffoons who tell us that God has “changed.” HA! Our Bible matter-of-factly tells us fundamentally that HE IS. YAHWEH LIVES!!

THE BEST WAY to begin our investigation into the meaning of the designation ’el hay (“living God”) in the Old Testament would appear to be with a discussion of the frequently appearing oath formula hay YHWH (“as Yahweh lives”). This formula is used forty-two times in the Old Testament texts as a ceremonial invocation. It has also been identified in the Lachish Ostraca (3:9; 12:3). In addition, the invocations hay ’el (“as El lives”) (Job 27:2), and hay ’elohim (“as Elohim lives”) (2 Sam. 2:27), are also found in the Old Testament. Hay ’ani (“as I live”) is used twenty-two times as the words of Yahweh Himself; Deut. 32:40 uses the words: hay ’anoki le‘olam (“as I live forever”). Attention should also be called to the phrase hay naphseka (“as you live”), which occurs ten times in direct address.

     In Ps. 18:46, hay YHWH is not to be understood as the invocation connected with an oath, but as a hymnic exclamation. At the conclusion of the individual song of thanksgiving, which is also found in 2 Sam. 22:47-49 in a parallel account, the singer rejoices: “The Lord (Yahweh) lives; and blessed be my rock, and exalted be the God of my salvation, the God who gave me vengeance and subdued peoples under me; who delivered me from my enemies; yea, thou didst exalt me above my adversaries; thou didst deliver me from men of violence” (Ps. 18:46-48).  

     The song of thanksgiving of the singer saved from his enemies modulates into a hymn of praise in vs. 46. It begins with the exclamation “Yahweh lives!”

     The words of Hab. 1:12 are hymnic: “Art thou not from everlasting, O Lord my God, my ‘Holy One’ Who shall not die?”

     Here the Old Testament antithesis to the belief in the gods of the religious environment and the opposition to hopelessness in Israel is clearly expressed: Yahweh does not die. He has been living as the holy God from everlasting, separated in His holiness from all temporal, mortal beings. [Note: Present in the Hebraic transmission of the text is a tiqun sopherim, a revision taken for dogmatic reasons. This revision sets aside the notion that God would be able “to die” even when the “not-dying” of God is mentioned. For the revision, cf. Biblia Hebraica.]

     One could write hundreds of pages on the “Living God”. What caused the Emergent Church to forsake such clear and factual teachings in favor of the “dead god” stuff they eat? They have given themselves over to evil imaginings, thus to a reprobate mind.

     All this BULL about a “new global Christianity” is proof of what I write. It is safe to say, and loudly, that

    THE EMERGENT CHURCH HAS OFFICIALLY DEPARTED FROM THE BIBLICAL FAITH.

     God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Ghost—The Divine Tri-unity has been replaced with the unholy trinity: the world, the flesh, and the devil. The true Gospel of Jesus Christ has been replaced with a humanistic-socialistic “gospel” that has been reduced to mere finiteness, twisted pink (homo-sexualized), torqued transmogrifyingly . . . thusly is accepted by the world and embraced without repentance or forgiveness. They preach “another Jesus,” a “Jesus” that accepts them in their “gayness,” in their “rebellion,” in their “pride.” All their “gay-affirming,” “seeker friendly,” “seeker-sensitive” ROT is literally bad for one’s spiritual health.

“Purpose Driven”/ “Seeker Driven”

ALL TO SWELL THE RANKS of the Emergent Church. We wrestle not with flesh and blood but with slime called EVANJELLYFISH—no backbone to stand for Biblical Truth. These Emergent Church folks do not represent a Godly Church, but a STINKING, ROTTING CORPSE. The N.T. Church, the genuine one is ALIVE, not dead.
